Founded in 1893, Mercersburg Academy provides students with the opportunity to live and learn in a richly diverse academic environment of 440 students from 29 states and 48 nations. Distinctive features include: 5:1 student-faculty ratio; 160+ courses and 40 AP/Honors courses; 75 percent of faculty hold advanced degrees; extensive study-abroad and language immersion programs; $251 million endowment; more than $6 million in financial aid; top-quality fine-arts center; 25 varsity athletic teams; robust outdoor-education program; and new field house, plus other high-level athletic facilities. Alumni include 7 Rhodes Scholars, 12 Olympic gold medalists, 2 Academy Award winners, and a Nobel laureate.
