International Student Leadership Symposium (ISLS) is a yearly foreign exchange program that was originated by ABA, an IB World School in Muscat, Oman, in 2007. It keeps inviting outstanding international schools from every continent to collaborate on both academic and cultural forum activities in different themes each year. Student Ambassadors from each continent will explore a social justice theme and grow from leadership training, which also includes the cultivation of global citizenship and global competence.

With the technology developing rapidly, world has been more like a “global village”. New Age creates new opportunities and new challenges, which is calling up schools to cultivate such a group of teenagers that have acquired the ability to take the lead and obtain a global vision. And that is what ISLS schools are always working on.

Nanjing Foreign Language School is honored to host this year’s ISLS. 2017 ISLS will focus especially on China’s recent fast development on all levels, e.g. economy, industry, technology, etc., under a main theme of “Made in China”.
